The purpose of the invention is to design an as simple and handy, i.e. not wide in dimension, pedal mechanism as possible, which would enable the adjustment of any respective desired position of the pedal prior to its use, where the movability of the pedal would be enabled exclusively in the longitudinal direction, i.e. along a vehicle and not in the vertical direction or in height. A pedal mechanism is provided according to the invention, consisting of a carrier (1) with a point of rotation (10) foreseen on it, and a pedal (2) which is turnably clamped in the mentioned point of rotation (10) on the one side and linked to a respective operated unit (3) on the other side. The pedal (2) consists of a pedal lever (21), a bearing lever (22) and a linking lever (23), where the bearing lever (22) is turnably attached to the said carrier (1) in the point of rotation (10) and fitted with a longitudinal guide (221) in whose area a translatorily movable point of rotation (220) is formed, in which the pedal lever (21) is turnably attached to the bearing level (22). An immovable point of rotation (210) is available on the pedal lever (21), on which the latter is turnably joined with the linking lever (23) which in turn is turnably joined with the bearing lever (22) in the area of the immovable point of rotation (230). The arrangement of the mentioned levers (21, 22, 23) of the pedal (2) into each appropriate respective position of one with regard to the other can be carried out by means of each respective positioning assembly (4).
